Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Link Title, LLC provides real estate settlement services and is required by federal law to inform clients (customers) about its policies regarding the privacy of client information. Title companies have long been held to professional standards of conduct that exceed the requirements of this law. Accordingly, we have always been committed to protecting your right to privacy.
Types of Nonpublic Personal Information We Collect
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information you provide to us directly, such as your name, address, telephone number, Social Security number, and other personal financial details;
- Information about your transactions with us or others, including your lender, accountant, attorney, real estate broker, etc.;
- Information we obtain about you with your authorization;
- Information from public records; and
- Information you provide through our website tools, such as our online title insurance calculator, including your email address (to deliver a PDF estimate and recognize you if you return for additional estimates) and your phone number (if you request a callback).
Our Online Title Insurance Calculator
Our website includes a title insurance estimate calculator available to visitors, whether or not you are a current client. When you use the calculator, we may collect:
- Email address – collected when you download a PDF estimate. We use this to send you the estimate, to recognize you as a returning visitor if you request additional estimates, and to follow up with you about your inquiry, including evaluating whether to reach out about our services.
- Phone number – collected only when you request a callback, which currently occurs in states where we cannot generate a live estimate online. We use your phone number solely to return your call about the quote you requested; this is not used for marketing calls or texts.
We do not sell this information and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. To generate your estimate, certain transaction details you provide – such as property state, county, loan amount, and purchase price, but not your name, email, or phone number – may be shared with a third-party title insurance rate provider solely to calculate pricing.
We retain calculator-related email and phone information only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes, and we periodically remove information we no longer need.
Our website analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) separately record anonymous usage data about the calculator, including which steps were completed, the property’s state, and the transaction type. This analytics data does not include your email, phone number, address, or dollar amounts, and is not linked to you individually.
Parties to Whom We Disclose Information
For both current and former clients, we do not disclose any nonpublic personal information obtained during the course of our services to anyone outside our firm, except as authorized by you or as required or permitted by law. We restrict access to such information to individuals within our firm who need it in order to provide services to you or to fulfill requests made by you or your lender. In all cases, we emphasize the confidential nature of the information being handled. This includes limited use of trusted service providers – for example, a third-party title insurance rate provider used to generate calculator estimates – who receive only the transaction details necessary to perform that function and are not authorized to use it for any other purpose.
Marketing Use of Information
We respect your privacy and do not sell or share your personal information with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. We also do not market to our clients without their explicit consent.
From time to time, we may send periodic marketing emails (no more than once per quarter) to keep you informed about new developments, regulatory updates, or relevant trends in the real estate and title industry. These communications are only sent to clients who have chosen to opt in to receive them. Using our online calculator does not automatically enroll you in these periodic marketing emails; enrollment requires a separate opt-in.
We do not engage in marketing via SMS or telephone calls under any circumstances. This does not include telephone calls you specifically request, such as a callback submitted through our online calculator – those calls are made only in response to your request and are not marketing. If you prefer not to receive marketing emails, you may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each email.
Protecting the Confidentiality and Security of Your Information
We retain records related to the professional services we provide in order to better assist you with your needs and to comply with applicable professional guidelines. To safeguard your nonpublic personal information, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural security measures that comply with federal and state regulations, as well as our own professional standards.
